Rob Morales
Rob Morales is a Texas kid through and through. He was born in San Antonio, went to high school in Dallas, and graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Philosophy. It was while studying (sort of) at A&M that Rob developed his passion for the outdoors. He bought a beat up Camp Trails pack at a second-hand store, hit the trail, and never looked back.
Rob began his career in the outdoor industry in 1999 as a sales associate for Whole Earth Provision Co. In 2009, Rob began working for Backwoods Retail Inc. During his time with those organizations, Rob held a number of positions in both purchasing and operations. Rob has been active in the Outdoor Industry Association, lobbying twice in Washington D.C. on the industry’s behalf, and serving on OIA’s Business Advisory Council. He is a former board member for Explore Austin, a non-profit organization based in Austin, Texas, who’s mission is to change the lives of underserved youth through leadership, mentoring, and adventure. Rob lives in Austin, Texas with his wife Erin and their 3 wonderful girls. He spends as much time outside as possible fly fishing, MTN biking, camping or cruising the waters of Lake Austin.
Katie Roberts
I have had a passion for the outdoors since I was a little girl. Growing up in the Colorado mountains, I have always had a love for being outside. I recently moved from Steamboat Springs, CO where I worked at Smartwool for the last 8 years, to Littleton, CO.
I wore many hats including sales analyst, sales coordinator, key accounts specialist, and dealer services rep. When I am not in the office, I am usually hanging with my family, or getting outside with my husband and our 5 four-legged family members.
Chris Covey
Oklahoma City born and raised. My introduction to the great outdoors came from Cub and Boy Scouts, where I earned the rank of Eagle and learned lessons that I still carry to this day. I enjoy backpacking, climbing, mountain biking, and skiing especially. 12 years as a competitive swimmer has now made me a semi-reluctant runner.
I earned my Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Central Oklahoma. During my time in college, I had many jobs, one of which as a sales associate at a local ski shop. In my down time, I can be found eating tasty food, sampling new brews, and binge watching shows with my girlfriend Rachel and our dog-son Arty. In Russ we trust and Thunder Up!
